We are looking for a communications professional skilled at creating engaging content for technical industries. From stadium and resort construction to advances in solar power and manufacturing, the ideal candidate is an experienced writer able to cover it all.
Reporting to the strategic communications manager, this position supports PCL’s national storytelling and Content strategy. In addition to creating content to build national brand awareness, this position also supports offices across the country with writing web stories, internal communications, media outreach, award submissions and other projects as needed.
- Write compelling content for PCL.com, including feature articles for the external thought leadership site, collaborating closely with industry subject matter experts to draft stories that support key business initiatives.
- Collaborate with regional marketing and communications professionals across the country on regional office needs – including award submissions, video scripts, project announcements, conference planning and other writing projects as needed.
- Support internal communications on corporate announcements and campaigns, including drafting promotion and new hire announcements, executive memos and employee feature stories.
- Must be able to independently project manage content, from idea development through internal approvals and publication.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field.
- Architecture, Engineering or Construction (AEC) experience preferred.
- 4-7 years of experience in a corporate or agency setting.
- Expert in AP writing style and superb verbal, writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing measurable strategic communications programs.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time, in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative and team-focused with the ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
- Ability to work independently, managing major projects.
- Willingness to travel and work with teams across the U.S. and Canada. Travel may account for approximately 5-10% of the position.

Salary range is $75,000 to $85,000 depending on experience
