On the Employer Branding team, our mission is to help DISH attract, cultivate, and nurture the very best talent. We are looking for highly strategic, extremely motivated, and exceptionally creative people to join us on this journey. Our team is committed to being the keepers, defenders, and champions of DISH. This position will report directly to the Manager of Employer Branding and be a part of the larger Talent Acquisition - Channels and Programs team within HR.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
If you are a creative and innovative communicator that enjoys storytelling and aligning messaging with brand voice to build awareness, attract, and recruit top talent, this may be the role for you. As a Content Specialist, you will develop strategic messaging aligned with targeted recruitment marketing and Employer Branding initiatives. You will think critically to adapt voice and tone for varying audiences within the DISH family of brands including, but not limited to, DISH TV, Sling TV, Boost Mobile, Boost Infinite, DISH Wireless, and more.
Our team owns all Employer Branding and recruitment marketing. In this role, you will:
  • Develop compelling and impactful employment branding materials including newsletters, website, social media, blogs, emails, brochures, ads, and more
  • Simplify complex information to create communication and resources that are intuitive
  • Post on Employer Brand social media accounts
  • Utilize an understanding of target audiences to determine and set the tone of the content, ensuring copywriting and content standards are maintained, and developing a consistent "voice"
    • Inherently know your audience and be an expert in how to message targeted audiences
  • Adapt communication style, length, and approach to the audience, marketing channel, and tactic
  • Own internal and external communications end-to-end aligned with our Employer Brand guidelines
  • Write all candidate communications with a warm, welcoming, and direct tone
  • Create design using pre-determined Canva templates in line with our Employer Brand guidelines, aligning with industry best practices

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree from a college or university, or two years of copywriting experience, preferably within marketing agencies, news, public relations, HR, recruiting, or talent brand
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to write and edit with speed and accuracy using AP writing styles
  • Experience with:
    • Job board/profile management, CRM, social media, a plus
    • Shortform and longform writing
    • Adapting writing to different voices and audiences
  • A high level of proficiency with:
    • Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
    • Building and managing spreadsheets and presenting slide decks
  • Extremely detail-oriented in all aspects of work output
  • Good working knowledge of Talent Acquisition, HR or recruiting processes
  • Self-starter attitude with an ability to conceptualize and drive projects

This role must be performed onsite in Denver, Colorado.

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
