Role Description
The Bike Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing bicycles. The role requires a thorough knowledge of the inner workings of all bicycles, for racing and leisure. The Bike Mechanic must have excellent mechanical skills, be able to identify and diagnose issues, and be able to make necessary repairs. This role requires that the individual must be able to work quickly and efficiently and have an eye for detail. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess excellent customer service skills. The successful candidate will be expected to keep up to date with new developments in the industry and must be physically fit to lift and maneuver bicycles. Candidate must also have clean driving record to deliver bikes to customers.
Role Purpose
The purpose of a bike mechanic is to maintain, repair and upgrade bicycles and bicycle components in order to ensure that they are safe and in good working order. This may involve carrying out regular maintenance and servicing, as well as carrying out repairs to parts and components. Bike mechanics may also be responsible for helping customers select the right parts and components for their needs, ensuring that they are installed correctly and that any modifications are performed safely.
Bike Mechanic Duties
