Job description

The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.
The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless currently seeks a Communication & Digital Content Specialistwho will play a key role within the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless Equity and Administration department to lead as an innovator for digital communication by developing, implementing, and deploying Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion content via web, email marketing, social media, intranet engagement systems, visual communications/graphics, video, editing, and production. This position is located at 2111 Champa St., Denver, CO 80205 and reports to the Chief Equity and Administration Officer.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Strong oral and written communication skills; creation, editing, and posting content for diverse internal and external audiences.
  2. Supportive, collaborative, inclusive, trauma informed, and culturally competent work environment.
  3. Develops a variety of print and digital communication products that align with CCH DEI mission and goals.
  4. Assists staff with creating training materials, including but not limited to activities, events, cultural competency trainings and Learning Management System support.
  5. Manages multiple projects and update progress regularly to meet deadlines.
  6. Provides event and activities planning support for DEI department and administration needs.
  7. Assures compliance with funding requirements, including periodic budget reports, verification paperwork for purchases and external vendors.
  8. Drives strategy, builds, manages and optimizes sizable media campaigns across departments.
  9. Utilizes data and systems approach to identify internal communications needs to strengthen cross-department collaboration and on-going equitable practices.
  10. Works collaboratively to ensure that the department operates optimally, and effectively, providing updated communication and content weekly.
  11. Develops communication strategic goals for long term development.
  12. Attends required meetings and codesigns slide deck/visuals and operating Teams/Zoom hybrid meetings.
  13. Completes all required forms and reports in athorough and timely manner.
  14. Understands and follows the related policies and procedures of CCH.
  15. Assists in the development and oversight of department budget, grant applications, and completion of all required reports to funders as assigned.
  16. Works closely with other program leadership to develop an integrated system for communication.
  17. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Summary
  1. Bachelor's Degree or Certification(s) in related field : Multi-Media, Digital Design, Web-Development or equivalent professional experience
  2. 3+ years of marketing copy, advertisement, blog posts, digital publishing, social media, podcast, or production.
