Position Title:Content Marketing and Engagement Specialist

Reports To: Director of Strategy

Communicates With: Business Development, Publishing, Project Management, Evaluation and Leadership Teams

Salary: $35 per hour

Hours and Schedule: The position will generally require 15-30 hours per week Monday through Friday. Days and times can be flexible. This is a part-time, 6-month contract position with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position.

Position Description and Overview: We are seeking a skilled Content Marketer specializing in email and text marketing to join our team. This role is pivotal in cultivating meaningful relationships with our audience, gathering actionable data, and driving positive changes in consumer habits. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating engaging content, understands the nuances of email and text marketing, and is adept at leveraging analytics to optimize campaigns.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute email and text marketing strategies aligned with overall marketing goals.

· Create compelling content, including copywriting, visuals, and interactive elements, for email and text campaigns.

· Segment audience lists based on demographics, behaviors, and Engagement metrics to personalize messaging and improve targeting.

· A/B test campaigns to optimize open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.

· Monitor and analyze campaign performance using data analytics tools to extract actionable insights and make data-driven decisions.

· Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, project and analytics teams to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all marketing channels.

· Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to email and text marketing, ensuring compliance at all times.

· Experiment with new technologies and tools to enhance campaign effectiveness and audience engagement.

· Continuously evaluate and improve the customer journey through email and text touchpoints to foster long-term relationships and loyalty.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

· Proven experience in Content Marketing with a focus on email and text marketing.

· Strong copywriting skills with the ability to create compelling and persuasive content.

· Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo) and text marketing tools (e.g., Twilio, Simple Texting, EZ Texting).

· Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools to track campaign performance and derive actionable insights (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to innovate and optimize campaigns.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
