This position is responsible for assisting the Director and other members of the CODE ENFORCEMENT department with the administrative duties such as, phones, work orders, mail, computer data entry, etc. This position could also be required to assist CODE ENFORCEMENT officers with patrolling the city to enforce compliance with standard codes and city ordinances. This position may perform inspections, issue citations, and appear in court to testify.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with ability to read, write, perform mathematical calculations, learn municipal and state codes, and have basic computer knowledge.
- Communicate well in person, by phone, and radio.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving history.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A successful background check and drug screen. No felony convictions or Class A misdemeanors.
Salary: Minimum starting pay - $33,576 ($16.14 per hour)
