We are currently seeking an experienced VTL Machinist for our growing aerospace location in CT. We are a main supplier to GE, Honeywell, and Raytheon.
Looking to add to our growing team immediately.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to produce precision parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of parts
- Perform quality checks using coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
- Make adjustments to machine settings to ensure proper operation
- Maintain and clean machines and work area
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
- Strong knowledge of machining principles and techniques
- Experience with CAM programming is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in machining processes
- Knowledge of welding and assembly processes is beneficial
Skills:
- Proficient in CNC programming and operation
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Familiarity with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality control purposes
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issues
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of machined parts
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
