Cnc Machinist

We are seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join our team in East Granby, CT. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, working with precision machinery to produce aerospace parts with exceptional quality and precision.
Shift Options:

• 1st Shift: Mon-Fri, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm - $25-$33/hr.
• 2nd Shift: Mon-Fri, 3:30 pm - 12:00 am (15% shift differential applies) - $25-$33/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate 3, 4, and 5-axis milling and/or turning machines.
• Run multiple machines simultaneously within manufacturing cells/machining centers.
• Work with hard metals such as Inconel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel.
• Read and interpret customer blueprints, specifications, and internal operation process sheets.
• Utilize precision measuring tools including gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
• Load parts onto fixtures and operate hoists to load parts onto machines.
• Read and interpret CNC programs on the machine.
• Set up tools for use on jobs or parts.
• Work within tight tolerances and maintain quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Supervisor or Manager.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace.
• Experience working with major aerospace OEMs (e.g., Pratt & Whitney, General Electric, Rolls Royce).
• Ability to stand for long periods and access machines on elevated platforms.
• Proficient with Fanuc controls.
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Additional Notes:

• Aerospace experience is preferred but not required.
• Candidates with experience at Smith and Wesson are not preferred due to the complexity of work.
• Minimum of 3-4 years of machining experience required.
• Familiarity with milling or turning machines, or both, is required.
• Ability to work within tight tolerances is essential.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $33.00 per hour
