Job Duties:
- Performs initial consultation/screenings in a criminal justice setting.
- Creates an individualized plan of care for each assigned client receiving behavioral health services.
- Provides evidence-based treatment interventions.
- Conducts individual and group sessions.
- Conducts assessments related to imminent risk to engage in behaviors that would cause harm to self or to others, in consultation with the Clinical Director.
- Conducts brief assessments for a variety of presenting mental health problems and incorporates findings into the plan of care.
- Communicates with other departments, probation officers, and community agencies regarding client treatment.
- Provides consultation and in-service training to other treatment team members. Attends meetings and in-service trainings, and participates in staff development.
- Provide clinical supervision for licensed staff who are receiving clinical training at the facility.
- Completes documentation of services provided (i.e. case notes, assessment reports, plans of care, etc.)
- Maintain ethical standards of practice in accordance with their respective State of Ohio licensing board.
Required Knowledge:
Individual should possess required knowledge of clinical social work and/or counseling, interviewing, assessment, and evidence-based interventions; be able to write meaningful, accurate and concise clinical reports and records; be able to recognize unusual or threatening conditions and take appropriate action. Applicant must have the ability to deal with and solve problems involving several variables in somewhat unfamiliar settings and topics. Applicant must convey a strong interest in being involved in offender rehabilitation and specific concepts of Community Justice.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social work or Counseling from an accredited educational institution. Master's degree preferred.
Applicant must possess LSW, LPC, LCDC, or LICDC credentials.
The applicant must show proof of holding and must continue to maintain valid permits, licenses and certifications as may be required for this position. Must have a valid Driver's License.
