Candidates must be able to give great customer service and have a positive/upbeat disposition. This position will greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, check patients in or out for appointments, communicate clearly with patients and the entire team. The chosen candidate will be able to efficiently perform the follow:
- Prepare the clinic for opening each day by reviewing the facility, opening all systems applications, and preparing new patient registration packets and required documents.
- Greet and welcome patients, provide patients initial paperwork, and obtain copies of insurance and identification cards. Direct patients through the registration process.
- Register patients, update patient records, and verify insurance accurately and timely. Collect all insurance information, verify patient demographics, process payments, post patient balances and complete phone sheets.
- Determine, collect and process patient payments and address collection and billing issues.
- Discharge patients accurately and timely by collecting balances, providing patient documentation, and following discharge procedures.
- Respond promptly to customer needs, provide excellent customer service, assist patients with follow-up appointments, and fulfill medical documentation requests.
- Utilize a multi-line phone system, fax machine, printer, copier and scanner to process patients.
- Have a contagious and positive work ethic that inspires others.
- Complete closing procedures by preparing closing documentation and submitting required reports.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
- Maintain office supplies.
- Observe safety and security procedures; promote a safe and pleasant work environment.
- Report potentially unsafe conditions to management.
- Regular attendance to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication that is clear and well organized.
- Make each customer feel informed, understood, and special through genuine and positive communication.
- Adhere to business standards of conduct and compliance.
- Maintain a neat and clean work environment and professional appearance and adhere to health and safety procedures.
