CLIENT SERVICES COORDINATOR
Job Summary
Project Angel Food’s core program delivers free, nutritious frozen meals at home to people with qualifying critical illnesses. Deliveries are made throughout Los Angeles County to more than 2,500 clients per week.
Client Services Coordinators are responsible for the day-to-day work of processing applications and recertifications, coordinating deliveries, responding to inquiries from clients and their caregivers, special projects, and collaborating with other departments.
This position will be part of the Client Services department, reporting to the Client Services Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Excellent administrative support and customer service, including answering phones and email, data entry, and problem-solving.
Compassionately processing initial and recertification documents from potential clients and clients. Conducting telephonic interviews. Making and receiving referrals.
Responding accurately, promptly, and sensitively to questions and concerns from clients, their caregivers, and their medical and social work support teams.
Obtaining and communicating information regarding deliveries to ensure successful daily delivery of food.
Promptly entering data into the electronic records, including of each client interaction, and maintaining accurate and complete files. Helping to collect, maintain, and provide information for compliance, communications, and grants.
Assisting in specific periodic projects, such as holiday toys, Thanksgiving meals, and Client Advisory Boards.
Periodically representing Project Angel Food at public functions and making presentations to community groups and partners. Participating in occasional agency events.
Abiding by applicable privacy laws and policies.
Showing a friendly and compassionate clients-first attitude. Professionally collaborating with other departments.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
Successful experience in an office-based customer service position.
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Professional, friendly demeanor and ability to interact sensitively and compassionately with clients who live with critical illness.
Attention to detail and follow-through. Ability to multitask and prioritize. Flexibility in day-to-day assignments and work.
Ability to positively represent Project Angel Food publicly.
Computer proficiency, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), client relations management applications, and data entry.
Someone who is energized by and passionate about Project Angel Food’s mission -- providing nutritious food and love to people who are critically ill.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry objects (up to 50 lbs.)
Ability to handle and manipulate office tools and equipment with precision and control.
