Client Market Analyst - Employee Benefits

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Employee Benefits Service Team Leader, the Client Market Analyst will enhance the client experience by providing support to the internal team.  The successful candidate will develop skills, industry knowledge and relationships by meeting or surpassing the service expectations of clients, prospective clients, agency and company personnel.

The Client Market Analyst needs to have exceptional communication skills, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively multi-task.  Managing internal and external requests, prioritizing projects, and working with tight deadlines are all essential to success in this role.  Working knowledge of BenefitPoint is a plus.
In This Role You Will Execute On:

1. New business opportunities and current book of business renewals including preparing and sending out RFPs, reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing quotes, and proposal preparation where applicable.
2. Assisting with preparation of various client presentations and deliverables.
3. Discipline in 100% documentation of services provided in BenefitPoint.
4. Timely response and follow-up with carrier partners as well as internal team of all client renewals out to market.
5. Assist in the running and distributing of client reports.
6. Primary focus on fully insured, self-funded, level-funded business segment.
7. Exercises discretion and independent judgement when developing a marketing strategy, analyzing data for areas of risk or concern and presenting solutions.
8. Provide Service Team with a strategy, including time expectations, as it pertains to analysis and marketing efforts
9. Provide direction to team on data gathering
10. Experience with alternate medical funding (e.g., self-funding, minimum premium, captive)
11. Creating RFP for marketing
12. Provide a higher level marketing analysis for renewal meeting, including financial analysis
13. Acting as mentor or trainer for others
14. Calculating loss ratios and premium increases
15. Review client demographics/offerings for a “best fit” of Hylant analytic tools and run through analysis of appropriate tools
16. Retrieving and Updating Client experience reports, including basic identification of trends
17. Leading rate negotiations with carriers
18. Identifying issues/gaps in coverage
19. Reviewing benefit offerings for account rounding opportunities
20. Building and maintaining Carrier/Administrator contact relationships, including coordinating marketing meetings as necessary
21. Overseeing implementations as needed
22. Documentation of all activities in BenefitPoint
23. Attending Client meetings as required
