Working Conditions

  • This position is located in the Riverpoint Marketplace area of West Sacramento (10 minutes from downtown), near the IKEA. Our building offers a free parking lot to employees and is within walking distance of numerous restaurants and shops.
  • Will be working at a computer in a cubicle under artificial light. With or without reasonable accommodation will be required to occasionally bend, stoop, pull and lift and/or transport objects. Some travel (5%) may be required with possible overnight stays. Required to perform periodic off hours support in duty officer capacity. Required to manage 24/7 emergency responses.
  • This position is eligible for a hybrid telework option, in accordance with CAL FIRE's telework policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

SUPPLEMENTAL QUESTIONNAIRE
The Supplemental Questionnaire (SQ) is a narrative discussion of how the candidate's education, training, experience, and skills meet the minimum and desirable qualifications to qualify them for the position. The Supplemental Questionnaire serves as a documentation of each candidate's ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing.

1. Describe your knowledge and experience at the managerial level with information technology (IT) operations of statewide emergency services involving large-scale complex production and development environments.
2. Describe your knowledge and experience of maintaining effective business relationships internally and externally with execu??ves, management, staff, and uniformed peers across diverse program areas and disciplines.
3. Describe your knowledge and experience with developing, creating policies and applying it to IT standards, procedures, and related documentation.
4. Describe your knowledge and experience at the managerial level in conflict resolution concerning disagreements between multiple stakeholders at various levels.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND APPLICATION INSTRUCTION
This position may be designated as a Conflict of Interest position.
