Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee our organization's ongoing operations and procedures in the construction industry. The COO is a key member of the senior management team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). You will have to maintain control of diverse business operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader with excellent people skills, business acumen, and an exemplary work ethic. The goal of the COO position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures that align with company goals and objectives.
2. Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth, and lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
3. Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance, etc.)
4. Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
5. Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
6. Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances, etc.)
7. Manage relationships with partners/vendors.
8. Oversee the company's fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
9. Assure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
10. Work closely with the CEO and other executives to strategize and develop long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success at the company.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as Chief Operating Officer or relevant role in the construction industry.
2. Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing, etc.
3. Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
4. Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
5. Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure.
6. Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
7. Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
8. Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
9. BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus.
10. Proven experience in project management, construction, commercial operations, administration, design, and public works.
11. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management position.
12. Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
13. Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, PR, finance, etc.
14. In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices.
15. An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
16. Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
17. Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
18. A master's degree in business or related field is preferred.
