Job Description
- Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures.
- Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
- Establish and enforce policies that promote company culture and vision.
- Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives, directors, and managers from all areas of company operations.
- Provide leadership, management, and vision to encourage maximum performance and dedication from all levels of the organization.
- Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
- Write and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance.
- Participate in expansion activities as needed (i.e., investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances, etc.).
- Manage relationships with customers, partners, and suppliers.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as Chief Operating Officer (in a manufacturing environment preferred) or relevant role and the ability to effectively perform each duty outlined above.
- Strong grasp of management theories and principles and a deep understanding of all business functions, such as Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory (in a medical device manufacturing environment is a plus), Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance, etc.
- Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (Epicor is a plus), data analysis, and performance/operation metrics.
- Proficiency in leveraging technology and data analytics to drive business insights and enhance operational effectiveness.
- AI experience is a plus.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
- Strong aptitude in decision making and problem solving.
Education and/or Experience:
- B.S./B.A. in Business Administration or relevant field (M.S./M.B.A. is a plus) and five to ten years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Outstanding communication skills (both oral and written), ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations as well as ability to write reports, business correspondence (internal and external communications with clients, customers, and the general public), and procedure manuals (bilingual English/Spanish is a plus).
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts, analyze data, perform and apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions as well as ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification is a plus.
- Constant use of hands, fingers, and arms.
- Frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
- Good depth perception, hearing, speech, and vision (including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and able to adjust focus).
- Majority of time is spent indoors with few changes in temperature, and the noise level is moderate.
- Computer literacy, especially proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel as well as ERP systems (preferably Epicor in a manufacturing environment).
