Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Chief Operating Officer (COO), North America to join our amazing culture. In partnership with the President, North America and our regional P&L owners, the new COO will build, implement, and manage a consistent operating system that drives revenue, margin, customer service, safety, and talent development across all operating units in North America.

Objective: In partnership with the President, North America and our regional P&L owners, the new COO will build, implement, and manage a consistent operating system that drives revenue, margin, customer service, safety, and talent development across all operating units in North America.
As the Chief Operating Officer, North America (COO) of our service-based business, you are overseeing and optimizing all operational aspects of the company. This includes smooth operation of day-to-day activities resulting in profitable growth and enhanced efficiency. Strategic thinking, leadership skills and operational excellence you will provide will play a vital role in achieving the company’s growth objectives while maximizing profitability.
What you will do with our support and your expertise:
- Build, implement, and manage an operating system that drives revenue, margin, customer service, safety, and talent across the region.
- Operational Strategy: Develop and execute this operating system/strategy in alignment with company goals and objectives. Collaborate with the leadership team to define long-term plans, identify improvement opportunities, and implement the tactics to drive operational excellence.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas of inefficiency and opportunities for improvement within business practices and processes. Implement optimization initiatives to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve customer and colleague satisfaction.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish performance metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify patterns and trends. Take correction actions as needed to ensure the company is meeting growth goals.
- Financial Management: Collaborate with the financial team to develop and managed the operation budget. Implement pricing, cost, and operational improvement actions to ensure fiscal health and growth.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, consulting, and support to operational teams. Foster our culture inclusive of ensuring we uphold our values & beliefs coinciding with accountable performance and results.
- Risk Management: Identify potential operational risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Technology integration: Identify and leverage technology and tools to enable operational efficiency. Assess, select, and implement systems, tools and software that better automate process and improve analytics.
- Communication: Work across the operational, executive and sales leadership providing regular updates, reports, presentations, challenges, and opportunities. Collaborate cross functionally to align communications and executive of plans.
What You Will Need:
- Ops leadership within a people centric, B2B services business of relevant scope and scale: >$500 million, multi-regional.
- B2B experience with a design / install / service mix preferred.
- Experience leading the design and implementation of a multi-unit operating system (including KPIs, management cadences, project management, and performance management).
- Growth Experience & Mindset. Past success in and personal drive towards high-growth, high-change environments.
- Partners with Sales and M&A teams to drive inorganic growth with prior experience closing and integrating acquisitions.
- Able to travel extensively to operating units.
