Chief Operating Officer

Gardner Health Services is currently recruiting to fill the position of Chief Operating Officer. This is a full-time position based out of the Gardner Health Services Corporate Office located at 160 E Virginia Street, San Jose, CA 95112. Under general direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) directs, supervises, and coordinates the overall business operations for Gardner Health Services. The position participates in the development and administration of policies on clinical and business operations, including participation in strategic planning.

The COO is a key member of Gardner's executive leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare management and administration with a track record of developing and implementing innovative strategies to achieve goals. The selected individual will have a passion for serving the public and fulfilling Gardner's mission to provide high quality, comprehensive medical and mental healthcare, including prevention and education, early intervention, treatment and advocacy services which are affordable, respectful, culturally, linguistically and age appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum qualifications of this position is listed below. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

• Master’s Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university with education in health, business administration, and public service.
• Requires 5-10 years’ of increasingly responsible of operational management experience preferably in a health care organization.

• Experience in organization policies, procedures, systems and objectives.
• Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to effectively lead in a changing environment.
• Governmental regulations and compliance requirements.
• Skills in planning, organizing, prioritizing, delegating, supervising, exercising initiative, good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making.
• Skills in identifying and resolving problems.
• Ability to anticipate and react calmly in emergency situations.
• Skills in developing and maintaining effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients, and the public.
• Skills in developing comprehensive reports and ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
• Skills in developing and maintaining quality improvement.

Compensation:

Compensation and level of position placement will be determined based on relevant qualifications and experience.

Chief Operating Officer: $250,000 - $300,000/annually
