ASTOUND’s offices span North America, with fabrication facilities that exceed 600,000 square feet. Key office locations include Las Vegas, Portland, and Toronto. ASTOUND’s projects span over 40 countries and their clients are some of the most well-recognized brands across multiple industry sectors including consumer products, sports and entertainment, telecommunications, and technology.

We are currently on the lookout for a Chief Financial Officer, and we need a leader who can guide the financial systems that empower us. We’re searching for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team of high-performing professionals and keep our finances positioned for continued success. The CFO will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations, helping us to analyze, strategize, and grow our financial position. This seasoned strategist not only will understand current accounting practices and trends, but also will have experience raising capital and adapting to change, whether it’s through growth or downsizing. As a member of senior management, the CFO will be comfortable in a leadership role that requires clear and effective communication skills. The Chief Financial Officer reports to the CEO or their designee.

The Chief Financial Officer will direct and oversee the financial activities of the corporation, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, and create forecasts predicting future growth.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Oversees Accounting department, budget preparation, and audit functions.
  • Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
  • Take responsibility (either directly or via staff) for all project management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the company’s financial strategy and hiring needs.
  • Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
  • Ensure flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization.
  • Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
  • Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
  • Works with the CEO and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process.
  • Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
  • Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same.
  • Identifies opportunities for expansion into new product areas.
  • Oversees investment of funds and works with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion.
  • Work with senior managers to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contract compliance and reporting.
  • Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for earnings calls, management team, and rest of company.
  • Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities (ex: Financial Accounting Standards Board, Internal Revenue Service, state attorneys general)
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation required.
  • Eight to ten years of experience in financial management required.
  • Professional certification (ex: Certified Public Accountant)
