Global Co Lab Network Description
The Global Co Lab Network, a Virginia-based NGO works to empower youth to be changemakers around the world. The Co Lab seeks to provide teens with the resources to spark change with a focus on the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Global Co Lab Network is currently seeking to hire a passionate, mission-oriented Outreach Fellow to work ~10 hours/week (flexible schedule) for 1 year commitment if possible, ideally starting mid April 2024.
This is a volunteer position with a small stipend of $150 per month and receive work/study credit.
As part of the Co-Lab team, you will have the opportunity to be inspired by young changemakers around the world, collaborate with a board of professionals and a large network of organizations. Through this fellowship experience, you will develop a deeper understanding of the organizational, managerial, and developmental work and challenges of a small non-profit start-up organization.
To be eligible to apply for this position you should:
- Be currently enrolled in college or a graduate eligible to work in the United States.
- Submit a resume demonstrating your experience and interests as they relate to this position.
- Be willing to work a minimum of 1 year (~10 hrs/week) - virtually, flexible schedule
You will be responsible for providing the Co-Lab with assistance to execute tasks such as:
- Recruiting new teens and mentors to join one of our 12 hubs on the following topics: Arts, Quality Education, Climate Change, Plastic Pollution, Mental Health, Gender Equality, Zero Hunger, Wildlife Conservation, Racial Justice, Spanish Speakers, Peace Education, Life Below Water
- Assist with marketing the annual video challenge for teens to enter to share their ideas and the opportunity for them to receive mentoring to bring them to life
- Researching organizations that align with our values and goals to partner with
- Outreach to partner organizations and school networks to increase involvement in Co Lab initiatives
- Marketing upcoming events and offerings under the supervision of the Marketing Director
- Organizing database and data entry
The Outreach Fellow is expected to be passionate in the mission of the Co-Lab and its values of inclusiveness, intergenerational collaboration, and action, and should exemplify strength in the following:
