Job Summary:

We are seeking a personable, skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join a single physician team. The ideal candidate is organized, friendly and caring. They have strong phone, computer and conversational skills. The ideal candidate easily engages with patients all while providing exceptional patient care in an outpatient clinical setting. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will work one on one with a dedicated physician in both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient operations and high-quality patient care.

Duties:

- Provide excellent patient service by greeting patients, obtaining medical history, and preparing them for examinations

- Conduct basic laboratory tests, such as collecting specimens and performing phlebotomy

- Assist with minor surgical procedures and wound care under the supervision of healthcare providers

- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in electronic health records systems

- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing phone calls, and handling patient inquiries

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth workflow including obtaining medical records. Computer skills are a must, familiarity with EPIC is helpful.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

- Valid certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)

- Proficient in medication administration, including injections and inhalation techniques

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care

- Previous experience in a hospital or medical office setting is preferred

- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a slower, calmer setting than the typical clinic environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
