Processing Manager
The Processing Manager will oversee all processing and packaging of product. This will be an individual who is driven and smart with great attention to detail, organizational skills and an ability to manage people. This person will constantly analyze the processes and organization within the processing department and make suggestions to increase efficiency and decrease labor needs while maintaining quality standards. This person will constantly be looking to improve their knowledge of new processing techniques and look for ways to increase the quality of existing products. This person must have great communication skills and be comfortable managing people and working with existing managers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Management a) Opening/Closing i) Processing manager has the responsibility to open and close the building on any and all work days. b) Make sure orders are packaged properly i) Labels and stickers correct. ii) Proper products go to proper store. c) Oversee packaging and processing employees i) Communicate clearly. ii) Have a positive attitude and lead by example. d) Make sure employees are organized and clean i) Work environment is clean ii) Processing materials are clean and organized iii) Equipment is clean and organized iv) Manage and organize order fulfillment e) Make sure QC’s are performed and orders are correct. i) It is the inventory manager’s responsibility to make sure all outgoing orders match invoices and manifests sent to vendors. f) Communication i) Weekly meeting with management ii) Weekly meeting with processing iii) Daily contact with Director of Operations
2) Inventory a) Product inventory i) General knowledge of quality and amount of each strain.
ii) Be aware of product inventory and make sure orders can be fulfilled as entered. iii) Daily check-out, check-in process is followed for product auditing(not currently in place). iv) Responsible for auditing and/or overseeing auditing of inventory v) Responsible for Inventory organization vi) b) Material Inventory i) Be aware of material inventory and make sure things are ordered and stocked as needed. ii) Liaise with director of operations on ordering:
(1) Bags(2) Jars(3) Papers(4) Tubes(5) Stickers(6) Etc. c) Ordering i) Sourcing and ordering all materials needed to process orders. d) Audit i) Weekly processing supplies audits(see above) ii) Monthly full inventory audit.
3) Processing Logs/Performance Metrics a) How long are tasks taking b) Where are bottle-necks c) Identify and/or suggest methods of improvement d) Reports supplied on an as-needed basis to superiors.
4) Compliance a) Full working knowledge of compliance systems. b) Making sure compliance rules are followed by workers including: i) Proper waste disposal ii) Proper storage of ‘works in progress’ iii) Badges are worn iv) Have a good working knowledge of the laws as they apply to processing and packaging as well as updates or changes to the laws/requirements. c) Make sure the product is taken from proper lots and inventory is up to date in the compliance system.5) Work with the Sales Manager to achieve company goals. a) Correspond with sales on orders and make sure they are being fulfilled properly and in a timely manner.
6) Organization a) Make sure processes are optimized and organized. b) Suggest new organization and processing schemes.
7) Discipline a) Make sure employees are following rules and regulations. b) Make sure employees are punctual and prepared. c) Report mistakes and superior performance. d) Report behavioral issues to management.
8) Reporting a) Provide reporting on request and as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,096.00 - $62,000.00 per year

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- I 502: 3 years (Required)
- Processing: 5 years (Required)
- Management: 5 years (Preferred)
