Overview
The Global Demand Center (GDC) is looking for a Localization Business Program Manager (BPM). Specifically, this role will work closely with the content creators and editors in the Commercial Social Media teams, the centralized and regional operations teams, and the localization supplier to ensure that the right content is not only localized and delivered at the right time, but also with a level of quality to make meaningful impact and experiences for our customers. In addition to helping run and drive our Social localization engine, this role is also expected to help identify areas of continuous improvement, seamlessly integrate and coordinate with other GDC & Engineering Localization teams, and push areas of innovation leveraging new technologies and approaches. This person thrives on bringing order to chaos, is a consummate team player/collaborator and is hyper focused on the customer. This person recognizes the outsized business impact a properly localized message can have in making deep connections with our customers and is also able to think strategically about the business and see the forest for the trees. This role has a focus on cross-organizational collaboration and will need to balance the often-competing desires of local customization with driving efficiency/reuse/leverage, all without jeopardizing timelines or quality.
We are seeking candidates with experience/knowledge in end to end (E2E) content creation processes as well as deep experience/understanding of localization practices and approaches. Additionally, some experience with localization process management tools (e.g., LocHub, Freeway, GlobalLink, Adobe, etc.) and ability to work in project management tools like ADO, Workfront, D365, etc.

We are looking ofr a Business Program Manager to play a key role in ensuring our products and services are successfully adapted for global markets.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall portfolio of localization Global Social projects including project plans, timelines, milestones, scope, financial management, quality metrics and international launches.
  • Provide leadership and set a strategic vision for the Global Social localization team while ensuring excellent tactical execution.
  • Identify and address gaps in our cross-functional localization process leveraging automation, engineering, and cross-functional partnerships to drive quality of our Global Social assets.
  • Partner with Global Social Content team to provide clear quality standards and data on assets that align with Globalization and Localizability standards.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and language service providers (LSPs) for translations, terminology management, and linguistic testing.
  • Drive the selection and implementation of localization tools and technologies to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Establish and maintain localization standards, best practices, and guidelines for linguistic assets, style guides, and terminology management.
  • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Track and report on quality, cost and turnaround times of your projects weekly.
  • Create and monitor content localization project budgets including forecast and spend tracking and reporting and analysis.
  • Proactively drive improvement initiatives in anything related to localization (processes, quality, data, tools).
  • Contribute to a collaborative culture that embraces inclusivity and diversity.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years marketing operations, program management, project management, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years marketing operations, program management, project management, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) technology/process improvement experience.
  • 5+ years direct experience in managing and releasing quality localized products across multiple content types, languages, and platforms.
  • Experience working directly with Content, Operations and Field Marketing teams.
  • Experience localizing marketing content such as video, social media posts, images and campaigns and marketing assets.
  • Proficiency in at least one foreign language is a plus.

Marketing Technology IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $80,900 - $162,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $105,300 - $176,900 per year.
