Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability(spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN (Microsoft Network), Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Responsibilities

As a Business Program Manager, you will be focused on leading and driving projects that support scaling our e2e(end2end) GPU value chain. This opportunity will allow you to develop deeper business acumen on cloud supply chain, utilize lean methodologies to identify opportunities to streamline and optimize business processes and present to senior supply chain leaders.
With minimal coaching, you will work with cross-functional stakeholders to design programs from initiation to delivery. Key activities will include:
  • Defining the strategy and scope that delivers improvements to key functional areas
  • Working cross functionally to solution what it takes to mainstream the functional area(s)
  • Driving artifact creation including; problem statements, process maps, KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and OKR (Objectives and Key Results), and rhythm of business definition
  • Conducting cost-benefit analyses and other analytics to examine performance, derive value, and identify risk and opportunities
  • Documenting business requirements that can be used by our technical teams to implement systems improvements
  • Executing a communication plan and promoting the program to gain buy-in from stakeholders, partners, and customers
  • Ensuring the key improvements are fully operationalized and owned by the respective team(s) moving forward
  • Communicating the program status and risk to stakeholders, and hold them accountable to following the schedule
  • Manage risk including owners, deliverables and ensuring mitigations are documented
  • You will define and track success criteria and performance metrics that support the definition of done of your program and provide regular updates
  • You will use data to make decisions
  • You will uplevel the details of the program for regular updates to senior leaders driving clarity on complex program issues and providing simplification.
  • You will influence and manage change in the organization
  • You will provide thought leadership in contributing to overall business goals, objectives, and strategies, as well as short- and long-term business priorities.
Business Program Management:
  • Leads a portfolio of projects including the project plan, timelines, milestones, financial management, performance metrics, and/or resource needs for highly complex programs. Communicates the program status and risk to relevant stakeholders and holds them accountable for following the established schedule, risk mitigation plans, and processes. Establishes objectives and success criteria for the project in an inclusive, collaborative manner with all stakeholders.
  • Provides insight to lead others to understand mapping or how people, process, technology, and systems work and impact one another. Leads the collaboration including leveraging other teams (e.g., Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales) to ensure program processes are rigorous and executed efficiently. Develops processes around scope and scheduled changes for programs impacting the broader unit, and communicates them to stakeholders. Recognizes process gaps/inefficiencies and drives strategies for optimization.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in Program Management, process management, process improvement
  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • End-to-end supply chain experience (EX plan, source, make, deliver) and experience working across those various capabilities.
  • Mindset of continuous improvement and capability to synthesize information and draw conclusions
  • Lean background (belt certifications such as yellow, green or black)

Narrative:
Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $142,200 - $213,200 per year.
