Eagle’s Trace is a beautiful 70-acre continuing care retirement community located just minutes from the metroplex in West Houston, Texas. The Business Office Manager of Continuing Care will be responsible for the overall management of the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial and billing data collection process for Continuing Care (CC) line of business. Serve as liaison between Continuing Care staff and Erickson Senior Living (Corporate) finance department representatives. Will have interaction with Continuing Care department heads, including directly with the administrator, employees, residents, resident representatives, and third-party payers. Act as point person for all financial inquiries related to CC.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience, starting at $64,000 annually

How you will make an impact:

  • Lead daily and monthly reconciliation of Continuing Care census including payer type, level of care, and care authorizations.
  • Partnering with admissions (HCC or HCSD) to ensure proper insurance information and pre-authorizations are captured.
  • Leading team members through the month-end Triple Check process, including Rehab and MDS
  • Collecting, collating, and coordinating approval and submitting all vendor invoices to the Corporate AP department for processing and payment.
  • Assisting residents with insurance and billing-related questions
  • Transmitting accurate census information to 3rd party provider vendors (i.e. Pharmacy, Oxygen, and Lab) for the goal of expediting their billing process
  • Preparing and verifying state-specific forms and insurance information requests when applicable
  • Monitoring the Medicaid Pending applicants and maintain the Medicaid Pending tracking report.
  • Reconciling and maintaining Continuing Care resident funds in accordance with Federal and State regulations
  • Coordinating and assisting residents in the Medicaid application process and Spend-Down Processes including preparation and follow-up of the application
  • Providing finance documentation to Long Term Care companies as needed

What you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelors’ degree is preferred.
  • 4-6 years Business Office Manager experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility with multiple payers (MCR A, MCR B, Medicaid, Manage Care, and others) and some general ledger/financial analysis experience.
