Position Overview:

The New Product Business Development Manager is responsible for developing new products and services within Core Machinery’s portfolio. This includes bringing in a new revenue stream with profitability targets and product expansion, creating diversity in our customer base. Also responsible for on-boarding of products and alliance partners, management of those relationships with the support of the different business units, in collaboration with leadership and managing team. This role will require working closely with peers across all departments, regional offices, other Komatsu dealers, and OEMs.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the growth of targeted technology and alliance products, this would include strategic growth planning for new markets and territories.
  • Collaborate with Core’s sales teams to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals, and be responsible for attaining business targets that match or exceed Core Machineries’ fiscal budget.
  • Responsible for the onboarding of new products, alliance partners, and services, this would include (contract review, inventory/stocking requirements, tech and sales training, commercial/go to market strategy)
  • Research the latest in the mining and non-mining related business industry, on-going market analysis to understand our competitors using SWOT and other competitive market tools.
  • Develop financial models (forecast), an achievable road map for the short, mid, and long-term sustainable revenue and GP
  • Understands and maintains Core’s current customers with a sustainable focus for new products and services.
  • Responsible for maintaining CRM notes for existing customers and setting up new customer's CRM with relative notes and communications.
  • Research and define new markets (mining and non-mining) to help expand and create diversity in Core’s customer base.
  • The incumbent must be a strong leader of the organization who has absolute integrity and is capable of rallying employees and leading by example.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree-Business, Mining, Engineering, Automotive Technology, or other applicable degree field and/or equivalent relevant experience in noted businesses.
  • Relationship development and Account management with focus on growth.
  • Demonstrates ability to respond quickly to changing business and market conditions.
  • Equipment knowledge (Mining Technology and/or Komatsu experience preferred but not required)
  • This individual will need to be highly organized, and the ability to communicate well, ability to motivate, communicate ideas.
  • Ability to travel throughout Arizona and the Southwest US to visit customers and visit regional Core Machinery branches, as well as other locations outside of the territory as required for the role. (30 to 50% travel)
  • Strong relationship skills, including in-depth knowledge of industry markets and the ability to do market analysis with conclusions and act.
  • Successful candidates should demonstrate a high degree of flexibility, as the dynamic nature of the role requires the ability to adapt to evolving tasks, responsibilities, and changing priorities.
  • Applicants must possess a clean driving record.
  • Advanced Computer skills and literacy.
