About the Team:
The position would be responsible for developing and drivung business initiatives across the North America region to achieve growth targets and open opportunities for the business line Industrial/New Mobility.
What you can look forward as Business Development Manager
- OES & IAM sales to customers serving the following industries: Large Mining (Mobile Equipment), Large Stationary Applications (Cement, Pulp & Paper, Apron Feeder), Rail and Machine Tool Gearboxes. Managing 80 customers and $18M in annual revenue
- Identify & evaluate new business opportunities considering new markets, growth areas, trends, channels & customers, products (ZF and non-ZF) & services – or new ways of reaching existing markets
- Develop concepts for reaching full market penetration and maximize profits for ZF Group through different sales channels (Channel mgmt.)
- Evaluate & elaborate potentials derived from customer and or/ OE division together with BL Sales functions (opportunistic approach)
- Develop & implement BL strategy & regular monitoring to meet business objectives and jointly implement strategic business plans (SP/OP20XX) for each region with regional BL lead & all relevant cross functions
- Investigate M&A/ partnership opportunities and strategic options, in alignment with Div B Ecosystem, Alliances and M&A Manager
- Establish close cooperation with the ZF DIVs and BUs to derive aftermarket opportunities from current OE developments, digital business opportunities in order to maximize profit for ZF Group
- Coordinate strategy presentations for top management meetings
Your profile as Business Development Manager
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong strategic and analytical skills
- Strong business acumen as well as deep experience and understanding of divisional technologies, industry and markets
- Strong leadership (influencing) and communication skills
- High knowledge of ZF Group/ ZF Aftermarket organization, internal structures and processes with extensive network to into ZF Group and Division I
- Collaborative and decision oriented (interacting with several corporate, divisional and other internal stakeholders) and extensive experience to lead strategy and Business Development process
