Adventist Health Tulare joined Adventist Health in the Central Valley in 2018, with 101 beds and other vital services for Tulare residents and the surrounding rural communities of Tulare County. Our Birth Center opened in August 2019 and will be followed by a new rural health clinic in 2020.
Job Summary:
Serves as the first point of contact and primary liaison for information between the organization and its current referring or non-referring physicians and is accountable for business goals of improving loyalty, customer satisfaction, and referral volume and revenue generation in line with the organization’s business strategy. Promotes services consultatively, determines customer’s needs and requirements and makes recommendations to both referring and non-referring physicians and customers of the various solutions the organization can offer physician practices. Assures brand management is appropriately executed.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Three years' marketing, sales or public relations experience in a healthcare or corporate setting: Strongly Preferred
- Sales experience in physician services environment: Strongly Preferred
- Familiarity with the city of Tulare, CA and surrounding business landscapes: Strongly Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Driver’s License (DL) and must be at least 21 yrs of age or older: Required
Essential Functions:
- Achieves physician outreach objectives and provides service. Meets new physician relations volume targets per goals. Calls on all referring and non-referring physicians and office staff to increase referral volume. Conducts routine calls in a systematic manner using predefined guidelines.
- Plans and develops marketing, community relations and community education activities Follows plan development, supervises implementation of marketing, community relations and community education activities and campaigns.
- Coordinates the implementation of marketing materials such as collaterals, direct mail, advertising (print, radio, television, etc.), web page (webmaster), audio-visual programs, publicity. Serves as editor and principal writer of internal and external publications, including presentations; news releases, articles, and miscellaneous collateral.
- Functions as the primary liaison/service representative for referring and non-referring physician offices. Minimize at risk accounts and immediately inform leadership of an anticipated issue. Acts as primary contact for concerns and questions office staff or physician communicates in regards to outpatient services.
- Serves as media liaison. Assists in the development of relationships with key community leaders as well as the ongoing building of rapport with media. Supervises the implementation of events, both external and internal.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
