Fidelity's Stock Plan Services Private team is growing and looking for a VP, Private Market Business Development. The Team is focused on supporting the innovation economy through a robust equity administration platform. We offer solutions and capabilities that support companies, their employees, and community stakeholders during the entire corporate lifecycle. This role will be focused on supporting the growth and expansion of our business that services private companies and the start-up community.

We are looking for a VP, Private Market Business Development to grow and deepen relationships in the start-up ecosystem. In this role, you will be focused on building and maintaining external relationships with centers of influence to accelerate industry awareness and adoption of our solutions within your market. Creating champions of Fidelity as a thought leader and solution provider in the space along with driving sales growth will make you successful in this role:

  • Owning your market by driving sales growth, channel partnerships, and deepening relationships/reach

  • Field engagement through meetings with current and prospective Center's of Influence such as Law-firms, Venture Capital firms, accelerators/incubators, etc..

  • Identifying scalable and repeatable practices to drive industry adoption of our solutions

  • Constructing strategic communications and content to increase engagement

  • Lead event strategy within your market through attending and hosting events (25% travel)

  • Collaborate with Business Development peers to strategically manage national relationships across markets

  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product to provide insights from the market

The Expertise We're Looking for and The Skills You Bring

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Partnerships, Business Development, or other relevant ecosystem building roles

  • Strong presentation and networking skills, driving engagement with key decision makers

  • Experience and understanding of SaaS business models

  • Knowledge of the venture ecosystem

  • Experience building out new markets and expanding networks

  • Relationships with law firms and venture capital firms strongly preferred

The base salary range for this position is $124,000-$262,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
