We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to monitor the finances and administration of paperwork for our Saint Charles Illinois Toy Distribution Company.
``Duties``
- Provide administrative support to the team, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements
- Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations
- Maintain and update filing systems, both electronic and physical
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries
- Assist with financial tasks such as processing invoices, tracking expenses, and reconciling accounts
- Coordinate and organize meetings, conferences, and events
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory levels
- Handle confidential information with discretion
```Requirements```
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of public accounting principles is a plus
- Experience with financial report writing is preferred
- Familiarity with technical accounting terms such as balance sheet reconciliation, double entry bookkeeping, debits credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation is desired
- Experience using SAGE software is a plus
- Hours are Monday- Friday 9AM-4PM
