Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices, as well as proficiency in accounting various software such as Quick Books and Deltek for example.

Duties:
· Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
· Conduct account reconciliation to identify and resolve discrepancies.
· Utilize double entry bookkeeping methods to record financial transactions.
· Process payroll and ensure timely payment to employees/1099 contractors.
· Manage accounts payable/receivables by verifying and processing invoices within accounting schedule.
· Collection of all outstanding invoices past due.
· Prepare journal entries to accurately record financial transactions.
· Adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all financial activities.
· Utilize accounting software to input and track financial data.
· Generate insightful financial reports by analyzing and summarizing account information and trends.
· Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of financial tasks.
Experience/Qualifications/Skills:
· Job Cost Accounting knowledge
· Experience in the construction industry.
· Proficiency in MS Office (*Excel*)
· Strong knowledge/experience of bookkeeping principles and practices
· Must have QuickBooks knowledge.
· Experience with Deltek is a plus.
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
· Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and reconciliation purposes
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
