Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our Flooring client in Blaine. This role is crucial to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth financial operations of the company. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our accounting functions, contributing to the company's overall success.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage invoicing and billing processes.
- Process payments and receipts accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
General Ledger Maintenance:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries.
- Monitor accounts for discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Financial Reporting:
- Generate financial reports as needed.
- Prepare financial statements for review by management.
Expense Tracking:
- Track and categorize expenses.
- Reconcile company credit card statements.
Bank Reconciliation:
- Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies.
Payroll Assistance:
- Assist in processing payroll.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations related to payroll.
Communication:
- Collaborate with other team members and departments as needed.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding financial matters.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
- Ensure compliance with record-keeping policies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Broadlume, RollMaster, Etc.)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
Work Schedule:
- Approximately 10 hours per week.
- Flexible working hours with the possibility of a hybrid role.
