Bookkeeper

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced _*Bookkeeper *_to join our client for a _*hybrid *_opportunity in _*Wilmington, DE! *_The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and possess a solid understanding of nonprofit accounting principles. This _*Contract *_opportunity offers _*$30-$35/Hour!*_
*Responsibilities:*
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
* Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing.
* Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
* Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
* Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end and year-end close processes.
* Communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
* Assist with grant management tasks, including tracking expenditures and preparing reports for funders.
* Manage physical documents and filing in the office as required.
* Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance department.
*Requirements:*
* Minimum of five years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
* Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Microsoft Excel.
* Experience working in or with nonprofit organizations preferred.
* Familiarity with grant management processes and reporting requirements is desirable.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, with two days per week in the office.
