Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented part-time Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Quickbooks and experience working in an art gallery or similar environment, with Artbase/Artlogic experience as a plus. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the finance team with various tasks, including accounts payable data entry, distributing monthly AMEX statements, and filing as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Support finance team with accounts payable data entry
- Distribute monthly AMEX statements to cardholders and enter transactions/reconcile in Quickbooks
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Reconcile accounts and investigate any discrepancies
- Assist with filing and other administrative tasks as needed
- Collaborate with the finance team to complete ad-hoc projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with some finance relevance
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in Quickbooks
- Experience working in a gallery or similar environment with Artbase/Artlogic experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
This is a part-time position requiring 2 days of work per week (in-person) from 10:00am to 6:00pm. If you are a motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and an interest in the arts, we encourage you to apply.
