Bookkeeper

Center for Advanced Eye Care is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, is detail-oriented, and possesses excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain financial records using accounting software (e.g., Quicken)
- Prepare and process financial documents, such as invoices, receipts, and payments
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Conduct payroll processing and ensure timely payment to employees
- Prepare financial reports and statements for management review
- Assist with year-end audits and tax filings
- Stay up-to-date with technical accounting standards and financial concepts
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., Quicken)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid understanding of financial concepts, such as budgeting and forecasting
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation
- Familiarity with governmental accounting regulations is a plus
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines
