Accountant/Bookkeeper

FreightCenter has an immediate opening for a bookkeeper to join our team! Have you considered working in a fast-paced office environment, but don’t know where to start? We are looking for a friendly, team-oriented individual to join our accounting department, where we hope to inspire, develop, and advance this candidate role into all that it could be!

** We have both part-time and full-time openings available for this position. **

You must complete one 40-hour training week, even if you select a part-time schedule.

• Salary will vary depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.

Experience and Skills:

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Netsuite or Quickbooks.
• Experience with general journal entries.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Creativity, self-discipline, and capability to identify and complete time-critical tasks.

Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the company's financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of transactions.
• Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor and manage the company's expenses and budgets.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for audits.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and resolve any discrepancies.
• Keep up-to-date with relevant financial regulations and best practices.
• Assist with accounting duties when needed
• Assist with payroll
• Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
