Our small non-profit organization is seeking a highly focused & self-motivated candidate for a part-time hybrid Bookkeeper Position.
Our mission is to guide brain injury survivors, individuals with disabilities, and their families, by ‘bridging the gap’ between surviving and living lives of independence with dignity and hope.
This position performs and oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions.
Education: Associates Degree in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration; BA/BS Preferred
Experience: 2+ years Non-Profit Accounting/Finance. Must be proficient in online QuickBooks & Excel. Experience with ePACES Medicaid billing system a plus.
Skills: Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task. Knowledge of regulatory accounting requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be flexible, dependable and have good problem solving skills. Must demonstrate professionalism/confidentiality, ability to deal with complexity, strong data entry skills, and attention to details.
This is a Part Time Hybrid Position: 20 hours per week with ability to work from home.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains records of financial transactions; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
- Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
- Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
- Maintains historical records by filing documents.
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.

Payrate Range: $20-$23 per hour
