We are looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records and work closely with our accounting firm to create financial reports, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices. Our ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience and is familiar with accounting software packages like Quick Books Online (QBO). Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all financial transactions of our foundation.
Responsibilities
- Record financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Verify that transactions are recorded
- Bring the books to the trial balance stage
- Enter data, maintain records and financial statements
- Process accounts receivable/payable
- Assist with retirement plan and payroll needs
Requirements
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software (i.e., QBO)
- Bill.com and Donor Perfect experience a plus
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office Suite programs
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.46 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
