Job Description
OBJECTIVE: To process and manage the company's payroll. Calculate wages based on hours worked and administer payments using payroll software with accuracy and efficiency. Appropriately communicate with colleagues and executives while managing sensitive information. Ensure personnel receives correct compensation in a timely manner. Candidate must be bilingual in English & Spanish.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties as assigned):
- Perform all functions of bi-weekly payroll processing & bonus payrolls
- Audit timecards for missed punches & proper PTO recording
- Reconcile/audit earnings & deductions
- Calculate manual timecards
- Labor allocations
- Calculate child support, garnishments, etc.
- Establish and maintain employee/payroll records
- Process Terminations & PTO Payouts
- Filing/Records Management
- Reconcile Dental, Vision, Voluntary Life, & Medical Insurance Billing
- Cash Receipts
- Accounts Payable
- Special Projects as requested by Management
- Process & monitor personal Leave of Absences
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience Math/accounting aptitude.
Experience:
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Knowledge of 10- key, word processing and spreadsheet programs
- Experience with time/payroll processing software
- Attention to Detail
- Analytical and data entry skills
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
Work Environment: Office setting
Physical Requirements: Standing, walking and ability to be on feet up to 8 hours per day Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing (English/Spanish preferred).
Additional Requirements: Must have reliable transportation to get to work and meetings
