Senior Payroll Analyst Job Description
This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee pay, and maintaining compliance with relevant payroll laws and regulations. The Senior Payroll Analyst will be primarily focused on transitioning payroll functions from UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) to Dayforce/Ceridian. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in payroll administration, experience with transitioning between payroll systems, and a thorough understanding of payroll best practices.
What you’ll do as a Senior Payroll Analyst:
- Lead the migration of payroll processes from UKG to Ceridian
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition, including data migration, system configuration, and testing

- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing activities, including data entry, calculations, deductions, and reconciliations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll regulations and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll laws
- Prepare and submit payroll reports, tax filings, and other required documentation
- Test system functionality, troubleshoot issues, and provide support during implementation
- Manage employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefits deductions
- Ensure data integrity, perform regular audits, and resolve discrepancies
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains in payroll operations
- Implement best practices, streamline workflows, and recommend system enhancements or automation solutions
What you’ll bring to the Senior Payroll Analyst role:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 3-5+ years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in a senior or lead role
- Proficiency in using payroll software and HRIS systems (familiarity with Ceridian/Dayforce highly preferred)
