Summary Develops policies, directs and coordinates human resources activities, such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Human Resources/Payroll Specialist-
Oversees all recruitment activities, recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
Assure that the organization is in compliance with current applicable federal and state employment regulations regarding wages, overtime, work hours, workman's/unemployment compensation, diversity/inclusion, etc.
Follows established guidelines and seeks necessary assistance to resolve employee related matters and promote a harassment free environment.
Develop personnel policy manuals, job descriptions, performance evaluations, etc.
General HR Administration of systems, documents, employee and other files.
Keep department managers informed of changes in personnel matters including any organizational and staffing issues.
Prepare benefit plan materials and advise employees regarding benefit issues, eligibility for insurance, hospitalization and coverage.
Manage weekly Payroll & Time/Attendance functions for employees, and process weekly hourly payroll.
Prepares payroll data such as hours worked, sales or piecework, taxes, insurance and other deductions to be withheld from pay to process and issue paychecks.
Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
Prepares, reports and pays employer and employee taxes, deductions from pay and payroll liabilities.
Keeps records of PTO, Sick and Safe time pay.
Complies, calculates and processes all prevailing wage, EEO and month end trucking reports.
Complies, calculates and processes all monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports including but not limited to: W2s, Sales Tax, 940, 941, ITFA reporting.
Other duties as needed.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
