What You Will Do
As a Bilingual Fast Track Adjuster, you'll work closely with customers, attorneys, medical providers, other insurance carriers and vendors to resolve coverage, liability, and damages issues from start to finish. You'll also develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and resolve claims efficiently with the goal of ultimately advancing to an adjuster role. Sample duties include:

  • Investigate, evaluate, and settle insurance claims.
  • Interact with customers on the phone and display courtesy, accuracy and uniformity.
  • Carefully review policy to verify coverage and identify any coverage issues.
  • Properly file and answer arbitrations.
  • Write clear and accurate responses in response to demands, requests, or questions.
  • Make informed recommendations when finalizing liability.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate and timely records.
  • Continuously develop knowledge and expertise (e.g., job-relevant law, regulations, trends, and emerging issues).
  • Conduct activities in compliance with applicable Federal & State laws, and company regulations and guidelines.

Position Details
  • This is a full-time, entry-level position reporting to the Claims Manager.
  • This job is located onsite in Plantation, Florida (with possibility of remote work).
  • Applicants must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Applicants must be willing to complete tasks outside of formal job requirements.
  • Pay range - approximately $43,000 - $50,000; negotiable.
  • New hires must complete new hire training in Plantation, Florida (typically 6-12 months)

Responsive evaluates candidates using a variety of methods including interviews, work simulations, and writing assessments.
Requirements
  • Ability to speak Spanish and English fluently (will be assessed in an interview)
  • Bachelor's degree (applicants with degrees in areas such as criminal justice, psychology, risk management, or related areas are especially encouraged to apply).
  • Applicant must have (or be willing to obtain) a FL 6-20 All-Lines Adjuster License within three months of hire (Responsive will reimburse the costs upon successful completion).
  • Must be willing to work in a fast paced, phone-heavy environment that requires significant multi-tasking and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to manage difficult conversations with skill and compassion.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Curiosity (e.g., identifying oddities and asking follow-up questions to explore them).
  • Commitment to learning (e.g., listening to and acting on feedback).
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Proficiency with software programs such as Word and Excel.
  • Experience in at least one of the following:
  • One year of experience in a high-volume or high-demand customer service role; or
  • One year of experience with medical billing, health insurance, or any other insurance experience; or
  • One year of experience taking recorded statements (e.g., in investigative or law enforcement settings, insurance settings, social work settings such as child/adult protection, or similar); or
  • One year of experience in an industry involving automobiles or automobile knowledge (e.g., repair, body shop, service writers, rental, sales, or similar).
