Everyday Health Group Pregnancy and Parenting is recruiting for a senior level sales role that reports directly to the Regional Sales Director.  The Account Director manages a target account list with a focus on driving to an individual and team revenue goal.  This person will also be responsible for prospecting new business in non-endemic categories like Auto, Travel, Finance, Beauty and others.   

This is a full-time position based in either New York or Chicago.

 Responsibilities

  • Manage several tier 1 accounts, maintaining and growing revenue and nurturing relationships with all key decision makers
  • Cultivate and generate revenue from assigned tier 2 and tier 3 accounts
  • Create and execute annual digital sales strategy and consistently manage pipeline and revenue goal for target account list.
  • Build and maintain strategic senior-level relationships and consistent dialogue with clients and agency partners
  • Build a pipeline against non-endemic advertisers using category knowledge and previous client rolodex. Target non-endemic categories include: CPG, Finance, Auto, and Travel  
  • Mine alternative revenue streams at clients and agencies including shopper, data, content/influencer and other teams
  • Drive strategy and help to iterate on EDHPP products by providing client feedback and competitive intel that can inspire change.  
  • Contribute to team meetings and sales meetings with insightful commentary that can benefit other sellers and the company at large
  • Strategically leverage all internal stakeholder groups and centers of excellence including content/influencer, data, sales planning, sales dev, ad operations, and client services teams.
  • Manage the RFP process and develop sales presentations.
  • Focus on relationship building through in person clients contact via meetings and entertainment. Travel regularly to assigned client and agency territories.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Sales professional with a proven track record of driving and creating marketing relationships with both agencies and clients
  • Solid understanding of the Content, Data, Influencer, and Programmatic markets
  • Understanding measurement standards in the digital space such as viewability and ad verification and of data-driven sales opportunities via DMPs, DSPs, SSPs, and Trading Desks
  • Ability to assess markets, customers, competitors, and prospects by uncovering and understanding opportunities, needs, and challenges
  • Expert knowledge of advertiser marketing objectives in order to articulate digital advertising solutions and structure integrated advertising partnerships
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Collaborative and a team player, working across internal and external teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter who is energetic and persistent

Requirements

  • 5+ years of digital sales experience
  • Existing agency and client relationships
  • Knowledge of parenting/mom and women's markets a plus

The salary compensation for this role when being performed in NYC is $145,000 to $170,000. Compensation for this business unit specific role is based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, as well as business and company performance.
