Automation Engineer

Job Summary
The Automation Engineer is part of our AGV team and responsible for the technical design of our Jungheinrich Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) projects. You are enhancing our customers supply chain processes through the efficient installation of our automated solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Independent technical lead for the design of logistic systems with focus on material handling/ warehouse technology/ automation
• Support in creating the System Specifications (all technical and design aspects)
• Coordinating the technical design with the Implementation team
• Development of risk assessments with input from the Field Engineer
• Assurance of customer satisfaction throughout the implementation phase
• Support the Technical Sales department for technical and scoping questions in the pre-sales phase

Your Experience & Education

• Bachelors degree in industrial engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in the field of automation design
• Strong CAD and tool-chain comprehension
• Experience in designing and conducting system simulations
• Experience in the realization of automation projects is an advantage
• Knowledge in PLC programming and/or similar programs preferred
• Experience with remote trouble shooting
