What’s the position?

We are looking for a Sr QA Automation Engineer to join our quickly growing product and technology teams. The role requires an individual that’s dedicated to the customer’s experience, able to clearly voice and document issues and concerns within their testing remit, and is passionate about sports. You will be responsible for the quality, scope, and timeliness of all your deliverables. Because we operate with a startup mindset, we will be reliant on your skills, but also your passion and ownership over all aspects of your work.

As a Sr QA Automation Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing the current state of the application and infrastructure, designing appropriate solutions and working with teams to implement them

  • Assist product teams in constructing meaningful, well thought out load test workload models
  • Work with product teams to move performance testing earlier in the development process through benchmarking of individual services
  • Help product teams define performance test success criteria
  • Execute Load/Performance Tests that integrate workloads from multiple teams
  • Perform analysis of performance test results
  • Take initiative to advance the quality, performance, or scalability of our applications, by influencing the architecture or design of our products
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure the quality and adherence to coding standards of automated test scripts
  • Ensure compatibility and consistency of application across different browsers, devices and platforms
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide input on testability and quality aspects
  • Optimize automated tests for efficiency and scalability
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies and testing tools to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process
  • Learn our application(s) inside and out and become subject matter expert
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the QA Automation team

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is extremely well organized and willing to tackle problems with innovative ideas and solutions. We believe the perfect candidate isn’t interested in just what we’re building right now, but wants to understand where we’re going and how it impacts the customer to ensure everything we create moves us closer to our goal: delivering the best customer experience.

Key skills required for this position:

  • 5+ years background in performance testing or engineering, or related experience
