Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we're looking to add an Automation Engineer Intern located in our Austin, TX site.
Reporting to the Automation Engineering Manager, the student will fulfill daily Automation Engineering tasks while becoming familiar with and learning existing systems to better assess the needs for conversion of manual processes to automated solutions.
What a typical day looks like:

• Researching/gathering requirements for solutions in manufacturing operations.
• Attending project management team meetings and supporting project work as needed.
• Using programming skills to automate processes, transform data, analyze data sets and images.
• Running machine learning tests and experiments, and documenting findings and results.
• Attending team meetings and supporting project work as needed

Student qualities we're seeking for this internship assignment:

• MS level student pursuing a Computer Science, Software Engineering or related major.
• Proficiency in languages such as C#, SQL, Python.
• Experience with web languages, frameworks, libraries, and APIs.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks, Neural networks, or parallel computing.
• Extensive math and computer skills, with an understanding of probability, statistics, and algorithms
• MS Office Suite; advanced skills highly preferred.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems; a plus!

Internship Program Requirements:

• Available to start on May 28th and work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
• Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
• 3.0 minimum GPA
