The Associate, Development Operations reports to the Director, Development Operations and, working closely with the Director, Development Operations and the Finance team, this person is responsible for processing all pledges and gifts into the CRM (Tessitura) database and receipting all donors. In addition, the incumbent provides administrative support for the Development staff including but not limited to data entry, email administration (Wordfly) and reporting. This person will have experience running reports in a CRM database or have a willingness to learn. The role requires extreme attention to detail, comfort with the database, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Process all incoming gifts and pledges into Tessitura
- Liaise with the Finance department to ensure accurate coding and tracking of all contributions
- Draft and send acknowledgement letters and tax receipts to donors
- Produce invoices for outstanding pledges
- Work with the Director, Development Operations on managing donor records and assisting with data clean-up projects
- Run and provide various reports to the Development team and assist with segmentation and list pulls
- Support the Development team on various administrative tasks, including data entry, mailings, and event invite tracking
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of 1-2 years working with a fundraising CRM for a nonprofit required, Tessitura preferred.
- Experience in Microsoft Office with basic knowledge of Excel.
- Extremely detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize, manage numerous projects, and work independently.
- Understanding of general financial accounting principles.
- Experience creating and executing reports or willingness to learn.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
