Our client Lake Union Hot Tub Boats is looking for a trustworthy, dependable, thoughtful leader to join their team as Assistant General Manager.

What you can expect to do:
Management
- Provide back-up management support to the General Manager, which includes delegating tasks, enforcing company policies, and ensuring smooth operations of the business - primarily when the GM is out of office or on vacation (acting GM).
Staffing
- Create the staff schedule and submit for GM review and approval.
- Conduct special projects, as requested by the GM, to further support and improve staffing/labor costs.
- Recruit new employees and conduct the first round of interviews to be submitted to GM for final interview.
- Facilitate onboarding tasks to integrate new employees.
- Backfill any role necessary - initially Shift Lead and back-up maintenance roles (more on maintenance below).
- Oversee and execute all aspects of new hire training.
- Conduct job mastery testing with GM.
- Recommend staff members for advancement.
- Coach staff to improve performance and mastery of specific job roles.
- Conduct reviews with GM.
Maintenance
- Provide quick fixes when Maintenance Lead is not in office or requires support.
- Assist Maintenance Crew when existing Lead is unavailable/on vacation.
- Ensure facility is guest ready. Look for ways to improve maintenance of the facility.
Operations
- Work with GM on scheduling, inventory, and labor controls.
- Oversee shift leads and organization of run of the day.
- Ensure guest experience standards are being met for each guest.
- Greet guests and check in (debrief) with each guest/party as they depart. Encourage guests to review and or ask how we can improve.
- Be prepared to do Damage Control for any negative guest experience.
- Praise and/or coach staff consistently in line with our guest service and team performance standards.
Guest Relations
- Ensure guest experience standards are being met by all staff.
- Make a connection with every guest upon arrival and departure.
- Address every guest's concern and turn it into a win-win.
Marketing
- Assist GM in all marketing efforts and campaigns.
- Look for marketing opportunities and potential partnerships to increase awareness and increase business to drive revenue.
- Attend marketing meetings with GM.
- Work directly with GM to acquire, organize and post social media content.
- Manage marketing collateral.
- This position requires weekend availability (you will be working weekends) and some flexibility in scheduling.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business management or related field preferred.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven success in a management or supervisory role.
- Strong decision-making ability.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
- Ability to motivate, lead and hold employees accountable.
- Strong working knowledge of operational procedures.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of assistant manager or equivalent supervisory experience.
- Experience in conducting and or participating in performance evaluations.
Schedule
Weekends and 3 days a week.
Compensation & benefits
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
