Eats & Co. (Boise, Idaho) is currently seeking applicants for an experienced General Manager. This position is critical to the success of our business and its expansion at our newest concept scheduled to open in the fall of 2024. In the meantime, a position as Assistant General Manager at our flagship location The Lively is available. This opportunity would provide the right individual an opportunity to learn all our corporate systems, as well as immerse themselves in our company culture while participating in building out the infrastructure for the new property along with ownership and senior management.
Candidates should possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of the challenges in managing a busy restaurant. The ability to meet those challenges positively and proactively, with careful attention to the impact each decision has on both the guest and employee experience in considering our core values of excellence, passion, grace, and integrity is essential. Relocation to Boise is required.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of daily front of house operations including gracious service, staff supervision, and food safety
Clear understanding of COGS and Labor systems that lead to restaurant profitability
An in-depth knowledge of Food, Wine, and Spirits
Effective use of time – knowing when to be working on the business vs. in the business (e.g., administrative/marketing/menu work being designated outside service hours). We require a strong leader on the floor for the duration of service.
Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue, and financial forecasting
Ability to lead a team of people from the front and by example
Responsibilities:
Meets restaurant financial objectives by forecasting weekly sales and adjusting labor accordingly to meet or exceed budget
Attracts patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, and public and community programs in coordination with the Event Coordinator and the Executive Team
Controls purchases and inventory by coordinating spending with the Executive Chef and the department heads in line with budget
Maintains operations by preparing policies and standard operating procedures, aiming for consistent productivity and quality
Maintains patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food and beverage service offerings
Accomplishes FOH Human Resources objectives by recruiting, hiring, onboarding and training all FOH staff to facilitate their success within the restaurant and potential for further growth and opportunities within the group
Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy facility by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures
Oversee and coordinate Repairs & Maintenance for all facilities inside and out of the building
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the restaurant industry
Accomplishes company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
Oversee all aspects of service in the restaurant, including dinner, private events, and in-house promotions
Ensure that our core values are upheld at all times, for all guests, and all employees, without exception
Mentorship and ongoing training for all FOH line staff and managers with regard to the aforementioned points of service, core values and financial success
Working with the Executive Team to prepare bi-weekly staff payroll, as well as management of existing and future benefits program eligibility and participation
Oversee the use of supplies and ensure that they are ordered or reordered as needed
