Assistant Executive Steward Convention & Banquets - Mandalay Bay

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
As an Assistant Executive Steward Convention & Banquets, you will be responsible for assigned operational functions within the department. You'll have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and be a great mentor to a team. Not only will you have knowledge of all kitchen steward functions, you will also have knowledge with banquet operations to set the stage for the guest experience. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Supervise assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan, and the company's short term and long-term profitability objectives.
• Supervise the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company's core service standards and brand attributes.
• Make routine inspections of all equipment and kitchen areas to ensure that cleanliness and sanitary procedures are maintained.
• Approve requisitions related to all cleaning supplies and equipment and monitor supply requisitions to ensure costs are kept to a minimum without losing quality and usage of materials.
• Maintain inventory and record keeping for all dinnerware, flatware and glassware, order china, glass and silver.

• 2 years of experience in Stewarding.
• Experience in Stewarding within the hotel/casino industry.
• Experience working in a similar resort setting.
• Experience managing employees using a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Experience working in banquets and events.
