ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Cross train to provide the full range of responsibilities and supporting tasks for the front desk, pre-check, badging office, and administration offices.
- Provide coverage for breaks, lunch periods and absences for the front desk, pre-check, and badging office.
- Greet visitors and callers, handle their inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate people according to their needs while providing outstanding customer service with enthusiasm, professionalism, and commitment to the organization, representing the Airport in the most positive light.
- Knowledge of all requirements to enroll individuals for TSA PreCheck, issue XNA Day Passes, and badging.
- Make calls and arrange for service when needed to TSA PreCheck provider, and badging.
- Serve walk up traffic in enrollment into the TSA PreCheck Program, and badging.
- Assist with airport tours, the Volunteer Program and Runway Rovers Program, including orientation, scheduling, and assisting volunteers as needed.
- Answer multi-line telephone system while using independent judgment to screen calls. Provide accurate information to callers, transfer calls, and take informative messages.
- Maintain required records, logs and create required reports, including lost and found logs and parking ticket validation records.
- Schedule conference rooms on XNA calendar once forms are complete. Schedule badging/training appointments on XNA badging calendar and inform caller or supervisor of required forms of identification and necessary signatures required prior to appointment.
- Create correspondence such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, etc. with speed and accuracy.
- Perform a variety of permanent electronic filing functions, requiring knowledge of filing skills with an emphasis on accuracy and maintenance.
- General assistance in all areas of administration.
REQUIREMENTS:
KNOWLEDGE - Graduation from high school or equivalent supplemented by combination of experience and training.
Must complete the background certifications and required training to become efficient in the programs and procedures for all steps in the TSA PreCheck enrollment process.
Knowledge of and skill in learning the operations of communications equipment. Ability to learn the operation of computer terminals and related programs and systems that are required to complete the functions of the position.
Ability to think and act quickly and appropriately to resolve customer service issues and exercise the use of good judgment in unusual or stressful situations.
Exercise strict confidentiality of information involving all customers and airport matters.
Ability to maintain effective public relations and establish good working relationships with other employees, tenancies, and the public.
You may not operate an airport vehicle or motorized equipment and must notify Human Resources before returning to work: (i) if you are arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; or (ii) if the state revokes, suspends or fails to renew your driver’s license. Incumbents of this position must possess a valid
Arkansas driver’s license and be insurable to operate the Airport’s vehicles and motorized equipment.
SECURITY: Requires the ability to pass a security background check. The Northwest Arkansas Regional
Airport is a drug free workplace. This position is a safety sensitive position as defined in Ark. Const. Amend. 98,
§ 2(25). Persons employed in this position may not use marijuana at any time or any place.
MENTAL: Requires ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines to accomplish assigned responsibilities.
This position requires the ability to work both with general supervision in a complex busy office environment with frequent interruptions, as well as work independently in a single staffed location.
PHYSICAL: Requires standing approximately 20%, sitting approximately 80%, occasional lifting of paper and files weighing up to 20 lbs approximately 1% of the time.
ENVIRONMENTAL: Requires capability of performing essential job functions in an office environment.
MANUAL DEXTERITY: Requires using hands, arms and/or feet for performing essential job functions essential job functions such as operating computer hardware and software, keyboard, and related office equipment.
AUDIBLE: Requires ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and the ability to communicate via radio and telephone.
VISUAL: Requires the ability to read written material, computer screens and operate office equipment.
